Fulfulling Our Duty to God: By Repentance from Dead Works

I thank my God every time I remember you.
-Philippians 1:3

"Therefore, O house of Israel, I will judge you, each one according to his ways, declares the Sovereign LORD. Repent! Turn away from all your offenses; then sin will not be your downfall.

Rid yourselves of all the offenses you have committed, and get a new heart and a new spirit.

Why will you die, O house of Israel? For I take no pleasure in the death of anyone", declares the Sovereign LORD. "Repent and live!"

Ezekiel 18:30-32 NIV

Create in me a clean heart, O God;
and renew a right spirit within me.

Cast me not away from thy presence;
and take not thy holy spirit from me.

Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation;
and uphold me with thy free spirit.

Psalm 51:10-12 KJV

What Success Means

I thank my God every time I remember you.
-Philippians 1:3

Success means something different to each one of us,
but it comes to those who are willing to work hard
and who continue to be dedicated
to making their dreams come true.

Success means setting goals and focusing yourself
in the right direction in order to reach them.
It means believing in yourself
and constantly reminding yourself that
you are capable of achieving your desires.

But most of all,
success is being who you are,
and feeling proud of yourself
for every task and challenge that you face and conquer along the way.

A Good Point

I thank my God every time I remember you.
-Philippians 1:3

A sick man turned to his doctor, as he was preparing to leave the examination room and said, "Doctor, I am afraid to die. Tell me what lies on the other side."

Very quietly, the doctor said, "I don't know."

"You don't know? You, a Christian man, do not know what is on the other side?" The doctor was holding the handle of the door; on the other side of which came a sound of scratching and whining, and as he opened the door, a dog sprang into the room and leaped on him with an eager show of gladness. Turning to the patient, the doctor said, "Did you notice my dog? He's never been in this room before. He didn't know what was inside. He knew nothing except that his master was here, and when the door opened, he sprang in without fear. I know little of what is on the other side of death, but I do know one thing...I know my Master is there and that is enough."

May today there be peace within you. May you trust God that you are exactly where you are meant to be. "I believe that friends are quiet angels who lift us to our feet when our wings have trouble remembering how to fly."
